Volunteering and travel have always been two very different passions in my life. I have always made an effort to do plenty of both. Habitat for Humanity gave me the opportunity to combine them. For one week I was given the chance to rebuild homes in Alabama that had been destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. During the day I learned carpentry skills and built a house with around thirty of my peers.
